Refund Policy

Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and unopened.

Any return that opted for free postage will have the original cost of postage retained in the event of a return that was not due to a error from toysintheattic.

Due to the nature of our products, returns are not offered for items with imperfections caused in the manufacturing of the product such as paint defects, incompatible accessories, loose limbs or other imperfections (list is not exhaustive) caused due to the manufacturing of the product, In these instances you should contact the manufacturer direct.

In the event of a requested return due to a fault in the manufacturing for non UK products, we will contact the manufacturer or distributor on your behalf to inquire regarding a exchange, This process can take up to 14 days and you accept this when purchasing from our store.

At any point the manufacturer can remove or include extras with the product, This is beyond our control and we advertise the manufacturers description, If any deviation is made from the original description that is beyond our control no compensation will be refunded and you should address any such concerns to the manufacturer direct.

We do not accept refunds on items that use internal or external batteries for power that are no longer charged. We also do not carry replacement batteries.

All items returned due to a issue that has not been due to our error will incur postage costs paid for by the customer and are non refundable.

We do not consider damaged outer packaging as a reason for return, although we accept some people prefer to keep their items boxed and in this instance we may consider a return but all costs would be covered by the customer, We do not offer a  MOC (Mint on Card) guarantee.

If a parcel arrives damaged, The parcel must be signed for as "damaged" and photos taken in order to make a claim, If no evidence is produced in order to make a claim against the courier we cannot accept any returns for damaged parcels.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
Book with obvious signs of use
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery

Paypal Payments

Orders placed with PayPal, payment is sent to us straight away from PayPal. If you choose to place an order with PayPal, please note from the end of March 2020 we no longer refund cancelled orders back to PayPal, but will issue a refund in the form of store credit. This does not apply to shipped orders, just PayPal orders cancelled by the customer before they are shipped. If for any reason it is our decision to cancel an order placed using PayPal, we will refund directly back to source. 

Paypal has a 180 days refund policy, if a cancellation is outside of this time then a credit note will be issued for the full amount.

Please note (Non UK Purchases)

If the return is due to an error by Toysintheattic we will issue you with store credit for what it would reasonably cost to ship the item back to Toysintheattic using a cost-efficient method.
You will be responsible for shipping the item(s) back and paying for the actual shipping fees.
You must notify us of any errors, damage, defect(s) within 14 days of receipt.
If the return is not the result of a Toysintheattic error, Toysintheattic will not pay for the return shipping fees.
You will be responsible for all shipping costs without reimbursement. Toysintheattic are not responsible for any lost or damaged packages returned to us.

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item unless the error was due directly from our store. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of original shipping will be deducted from your refund.

If you are returning an item over £50, you should consider using a traceable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Refunds on pre-orders

      We are more than happy to offer a full refund in the event of a cancellation of any pre-ordered items - This must be done by emailing us direct. "Unlike other websites we do not charge a admin fee for cancelling a pre-order within 14 days, you will receive a full refund in the event of a cancellation, If after 14 days a fee of 10% will be retained for admin fees.

In the event of a cancellation and we have in stock items on hold awaiting further pre orders, you will be sent the current item(s) and this will be deducted from your refund and the the rest of the pre-orders will be cancelled.

Paypal Payments
